INDIVIDUAL TRAINING PERMISSION (PIF)

WHAT IS AN INDIVIDUAL TRAINING PERMIT (PIF)?

It is a permit of up to 200 hours per year or academic year of which a worker can work for the training, with prior authorization of the company.

WHO ARE THE BENEFICIARIES OF A PIF CREDIT?

Workers All salaried workers who render their services in companies that contribute to Social Security in the sense of vocational training. They must have prior consent of the company. Companies All companies that have work centers in the state territory, whatever their size and location and pay for professional training. Be aware of the compliance with your tax obligations and Social Security at the time of applying the bonuses.

For what training actions you can ask for a PIF?

The training referred to in the Individual Permits must be recognized through a degree or other official accreditation, including also vocational training certificates and Professionalism certificates. It is also planned to be used for access, in due course, to processes for the recognition of professional competences and qualifications.

Which is financed with a PIF?

The salary costs  (base salary, seniority, fixed supplements and the corresponding part of the extraordinary payments) and the Social Security contributions corresponding to the working hours in which the worker is carrying out the training.

WHY CAN PIF APPLY?

Training actions recognized through an official degree from the Ministry of Education, including university degrees. Training actions recognized through official accreditation of the rest of public administrations (Ministry of Labor, Ministry of Industry, etc.).  The titles and certificates of professionalism that constitute the offer of the National Catalog of Professional Qualifications. Access to the processes of recognition, evaluation and accreditation of skills and professional qualifications acquired through work experience or other non-formal and informal learning. To prepare exams and personal tutorials in distance learning, as long as they belong to the previous categories.

Access to Vocational Training for over 25 years. Access to the university for over 25 years.

SO YOU CAN NOT REQUEST A PIF?

Distance training actions that do not include face-to-face training. Those that are included in the training actions carried out by the company and which are subject to a bonus. Permits necessary to attend exams.

HOW MUCH MONEY DOES THE COMPANY OBTAIN FROM THE INDIVIDUAL TRAINING PERMIT PIF OF A WORKER?

The companies have two different credits. The total credit will be the sum of both: Credited to PIF in €: 5% annual credit that the Tripartite Foundation assigns to companies for training actions to their workers. Credit for PIF in hours: maximum of 200 working hours per permit and academic year or calendar year. The company will get a bonus per working hour that includes: Salary of the worker: Basic salary + seniority + fixed supplements + and the corresponding part of extraordinary payments  Corporate Social Security contribution).

THE TRAINING ACTION FOR WHICH THE PIF IS REQUESTED SHOULD IT BE RELATED TO THE WORK OF THE COMPANY?

No, the regulations establish that the Permits are requested for the personal development of the personnel in staff, so they do not necessarily have to be related to the activity of the company.
